Interlibrary Loan is a service that provides journal articles and short-term loans of books not available in the Wildenthal Memorial Library. Document Delivery provides PDF files of book chapters and journal articles from library-owned items.
Currently enrolled students and employees of Sul Ross State University, Rio Grande College, retired SRSU staff and faculty and Texas state and local federal agency employees who meet eligibility requirements can submit requests.
If you find an article listed in a FirstSearch or EBSCO database, use the form available within the database. To request an item from either interlibrary loan or document delivery, use the forms listed in the box on this page.
All Document Delivery PDFs are provided for free. Most interlibrary loan items may also be obtained for free but some lending libraries charge fees. Indicate on the form how much you will pay. If you do not enter an amount and a free provider cannot be found, the request may be returned unfilled.
Provide an e-mail address and check your messages often. You will receive an e-mail notice with the article attached as a PDF, or for loans, an arrival notice with information about where to pick it up. SRSU users pick up items from the library’s information desk. RGC users pick up loaned items from one of the SWTJC/RGC libraries located in Del Rio, Eagle Pass or Uvalde.
Print or save a copy of the submitted form for your records. If you do not receive an arrival notice within three to five business days for an item requested via document delivery or seven to 14 business days for an item requested via interlibrary loan, ask a librarian or the SWTJC library staff to check the status of therequest.
Use the Request a Renewal form in the box on this page. RGC users should request renewals from their local library staff.
